While out shopping Friday, I decided to stop in Miller's Pub and have lunch. It was wonderful walking into their warm foyer after a long walk on a chilly day. Beautifully decorated for the Holiday's, the warm lights invited us inside. Miller's Pub, since 1935, is a mainstay in the City of Chicago! In small designated areas, the walls are plastered with photos of Movie Stars, Professional Sports Stars and Politicians. A nostalgic and warm environment relaxes even the most tense harried shopper. Offering American Cuisine, their menu is reasonable priced. As I overheard tidbits of conversation at the 50 Foot long Bar, I quickly realized that this was a regular place for many to stop in and have lunch or a drink. This created a very comfortable and relaxing environment, making us feel at home.
At the server's recommendation, I ordered the Canadian Babyback Ribs. I haven't had ribs in ages. When she brought them, I was not disappointed. They weren't fatty, yet had a ton of delicious flavor. They strike just the right balance with their specially bottled sauce. Even though lunch was very efficient, it was also relaxing. This is a fabulous combination for diners without much time at lunch, who want a good reasonably priced relaxing meal. Miller's Pub is a place I will definitely stop into again.
