Every Round About in France is a work of Art. There is always something interesting in the middle. As I made my way winding through the French Countryside, every village had round abouts.
Interesting and beautiful sculptures were featured at most, while some featured gorgeous gardens and memorials.
It was difficult to be sure not to miss my turn, and still appreciate the Art. At one round about, we saw a Circus Company taking a break in the middle!
A fun annual tradition for over 50 years here in Chicago, is dying the river Green for St. Patrick's Day. A weekend long celebration of the Green!
A powdered vegetable dye turns the Chicago River a beautiful Irish Green. Even more fun was the 60th Anniversary of the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The Good Food Festival and Conference, sponsored by FamilyFarmed.org, starts today. FARMHOUSE Craft Tavern is sponsoring Thursday's reception.
Last year's festival was excellent, as always. Chicago's Good Food Movement has gained momentum and is exemplified here at the Good Food Festival. If you enjoy buying local, dining at Farm to Table restaurants, such as FARMHOUSE, love sustainable gardening or appreciate the push for a delicious local food, you will LOVE this event. So many fascinating people to meet. Chef's demos (don't miss Rick Bayless) and breakout sessions are highlights from the Good Food Festival at the UIC Forum.
The Festival runs from 3/19-3/21. Click for a schedule of Events and more information.

I had the most amazing time in France exploring the many Farmer's Markets in Country French Villages.
They were some of the largest and freshest Farmer's Markets, aka "le marché" I have ever seen. Completely impressive.
Large wooden bowls held savory olives in so many delicious varieties. I had to buy some for our picnic later.
Not only was the selection and variety of items offered extensive, the quality of each and everything I tied was Outstanding.
From Cheeses, fruits and veggies to Charcuterie and the latest handmade fashions, absolutely the Best!
I am definitely longing for the fresh foods of the French Farmer's Markets!
